The Verdict

The Good

  • Quietest modular helmet I've ever worn, especially on the highway
  • Pre-wired for the Schuberth SC2 Cardo-powered comms, easiest install on the market
  • Dust-blocking chin vent design that actually works on gravel and trail

The Bad

  • 1,800 grams is on the heavy side. Compare against the AGV Tour Modular if weight matters
  • Vertical field of view tightens with the peak in the lowest position
  • Microphone placement for motovlogging is finicky with the modular chinbar
In the Box
  • Clear visor
  • Dark visor
  • Peak / visor
  • Pinlock insert sold separately
  • Breath deflector sold separately
  • Chin curtain sold separately
  • Helmet bag sold separately

The all-in-one helmet that actually is

The Schuberth E2 is one of the quietest helmets I own. Not just quiet for a modular. Quiet, full stop. On the highway with the chinbar down it's genuinely impressive, and that's before you factor in this is a modular adventure lid with a peak on it.

Comfort is the other headline. Once it breaks in, this becomes the helmet I keep reaching for weeks after the review wrapped. Intermediate oval shape, customizable padding kits from Schuberth, and a plush interior that holds up on 4-hour rides with zero neck strain.

Then there's the Cardo integration. The E2 ships pre-wired with speakers and wiring already routed through the shell. Pair it with Schuberth's SC2 comm system (a rebadged Cardo) and the install is plug-in-plug-in-plug-in. Cleanest comms setup I've ever had on a helmet, and the SC2 runs $349 versus $389 for a Pack Talk Edge.

Dust-filtering chin vents that genuinely block debris off-road close out the case. One helmet, nearly every job.

Who should buy this

The weekday commuter, the weekend light-ADV rider, and the long-haul tourer who wants a single helmet that does the whole job. If weight is your main priority, compare against the AGV Tour Modular or a Klim TK1200. For everyone chasing comfort, quietness, and the cleanest comms install on the market, the E2 is the pick.
